#5 - Trouble at the Border

This stage of the process is about looking at all those doubts and self-deprecating remarks we say to ourselves any time we try to change. Our coaching focuses on this after your VISIONING sessions because they can subtly sabotage your efforts. We want to call them out and work with them so they don’t sabotage your dream/vision. There are a variety of templates we can choose from here because there are a variety of opportunities for that inner critic to cause trouble at the border for you.
Flip It, Flip It Good
It is one of the few times I will ask you to voice as many negative thoughts as you can about your vision of your next self. You will SHIFT your thinking about those practiced, grumbled, negative messages you have listened to and believed over time, to messages that are going to support your vision of your next self. And, it provides support for you to head them off when they return months or years later.
Benefit: When you have truly flipped the negative thoughts and reactions you usually have, to something that honestly feels better, you have energetically SHIFTED. That energetic SHIFT will help you more fully allow your vision. You will feel soothed, and more able to achieve your vision.
Inner Alignment
The INNER ALIGNMENT session is another guided imagery activity where you have the opportunity to talk to that inner critic that hounds you consciously and unconsciously and figure out what they think they’re doing in the process. This is the “yeah but” voice you hear when you set a goal, or try new behaviors. This inner “battle of wills” keeps you from being energetically aligned to what you really want.
Benefit: This session helps you identify conflicting emotions you may have around your vision, your SHIFT. It helps identify inner resistance to being successful.
Harvest Your History
As you also found in your HARVEST YOUR HISTORY, our beliefs shape our current reality, sometimes at a very deep level we’re not even aware of. This is also true for our parents and their families. We spend some time here looking at your ARCHEOLOGY OF BELIEFS. What is the larger context of beliefs your parents grew up with? What about their parents? What was the world like for them? How are they still impacting your life today?
Benefit: Unearthing messages that may be unconsciously holding you back or even supporting you, as you SHIFT.
